Chapter 1 Reflection

Do you think the life of our human race will be prolonged or driven to extinction by computers? Why do you think so?

Well I learnt a lot from Mr. AC about computers. Before this I just knew how to handle Facebook, Friendster, MySpace and any other social networking and few things in Microsoft office. Thank you to Mr. AC, now I already started learning any other matter in computer. In my opinion computer has its own benefit and its disadvantages. Human are the one who will determine whether computers can give benefit or the opposite. For me, human race will not be prolonged or driven to extinction by computers. Other than using computers human still practice social activities and this absolutely will not affect human race. They still mix around with others, enjoy the nature around them and still having their normal life.


Would the human race survive if all the computers in the world crashed? Who would be
most badly hit?

I think most of the human population will not survive as their lives are almost 100% related to computers. The major populations that will be affected the most are business and government. These two organizations use computers a lot and without computers they cannot do their work. Though most of the human will hit badly if this disastrous happened, they still can back up and catch up and they will do something about it.

Skysports

Well, its a website sports that update most of sports and games in the whole world. Football is the most updated news in it and English Premier League (EPL) is the most famous football league. My favorite football team is Arsenal and this website really help me to update their activities without waiting for the news on television or through papers. I was asked by Mr. AC to comment a website based on few criteria; affiliation, audience, authority, content, currency, design and objectivity. So, I choose www.skysports.com

They got all the informations without any middle person. They have at least one representative at the events to report and send the news and details about the match or event.

Audience

This website is mainly for those who eager to know the latest news about most of the sports. For those who are not able to watch football match lively, they can get the latest updated news about the game through this website.

Authority

Since, this website is officially sport news website and they have their stuffs to deliver the reports and the news, they does not have to give the appropriate credentials.

Content

It is well organized and it has all the sports and games. We just have to click sports', teams' and the leagues' hyperlink and it does not have any problems.

Currency

This website never fail to update the latest informations. We can get the latest information in every five minutes.

Design

Because of endless latest information, this website is having a problem with the speed. You might have to wait for few seconds to get the page that you want.

Objectivity

It has a few interesting advertisements and they are basically sports advertisements.

CSCI 101

My name is Zahiruddin Bin Mansor. I come from Pekan which is a royal town in Pahang. However now I'm staying in Casa Apartment in Subang while continue my studies in Taylor's University College Subang Jaya majoring in actuarial science. I admit that computer really help and influence a lot of people's life. However, computer does not really influence my life. For me, computer helps me in my studies and social life. With computer I can widen my knowledge and boost up my computer skills. This can really help me using computers and technologies. Apart from that, through social networking circles such as Friendster, Myspace, Twitter and Facebook I can get a lot of new friends and I can keep in touch with my childhood's friends. I really expected that I could learn and understand more about inside and outside the computer with Mr. Adrian help. Finally, I hope i can get an A for my CSCI 101.
